The state of Hidalgo climbed 11 positions in the 2025 State Competitiveness Index, becoming the fastest-improving entity in the country.

- 2nd place in annual growth of jobs registered with the IMSS.
- 3rd place in average GDP growth over the past three years.
- 4th place in low state debt levels.
- 5th place in growth of economic units with more than 50 employees.
